Gynecomastia Surgery

Gynecomastia is a condition mostly caused by excess of estrogen during puberty. If gynecomastia doesn’t subside by the age of 16 or 17th surgery is usualy necessary. Gynecomastia surgery can be performed under local or general anesthesie. This is determined by the treating plastic surgeon and the patient.

got the surgery done yesterday. don’t kid yourself- the recovery SUCKS!!!! once the freezing ran out, I was in a world of hurt. not to mention the brazier you wear after only magnifies the pain. you’re required to wear it for a month to prevent scar tissue build-up.

I feel your pain man. Iv worked out every day over the past few months until I lost 25 pounds just to solve this problem. I’m 5’7 and I now weigh 147 pounds, normal weight for my size and yet my gynecomastia hasn’t gone away. It sucks, I’v resorted to wearing black button down dress shirts just to cover up my embarrassment. I even wear them in the summer under the hot sun. I would like to wear T-shirts but this condition makes that very difficult. It really is a day to day burden =/

@JetBlack7000 I’m glad to see I’m not alone, I don’t have it as bad as many guys on here have it, but its bad enough none the less, I want to be an MMA fighter, but I always bring a black sweater with a big chest logo to train, I wish I could just do the excersice with my shirt off, but how can I be expected to fight without my shirt in the ring/cage when I cant even do it with a simple t-shirt in the gym,

I dont know how to feel about it honestly, it still is swollen, and I haven’t looked at it that much honestly, my family said it looked okay, the most painful part of the op, is removing the drainage tubes, OMG did that HURT. Happy? Not now, when it gets better, I’ll let you all nkow.

@KirbyPwnz13 First thing is first, I can wear a shirt now, I look good in it, and I’ve even taken my shirt off at the beach, no one staring, BUT, I feel one breast is still bigger than the other, I might need a touch up surgery, but then again, the bigger breast still feels numb and swollen (due to not really resting with my Kickboxing) but either way, I feel if I drop weight, and rest, it should be okay.
