Basically, I have had gynecomastia since right about 6th grade and I am now 17 and full grown and still have it. I am aware that it’s common (sometimes I spot others who have it) and for most people who have it, it goes away after a few years but I’m pretty sure I will need surgery since it’s already been 5-6. Also, most people who get gynecomastia are overweight but I am not.

So, my questions are… what is the surgery like and what does it entail? How will I feel afterwards? My next physical is in october but should I wait until then to confront my doctor about this? I’m also pretty embarassed about talking to my family about this. Do you have any suggestions to lessen the embarassment?
