VASER Lipo on the Doctors

May 9th, 2012 No comments

We have a question that comes to us from Blair Underwood. You probably know Blair from LA Law and the new NBC thriller, The Event. “I am good right now with the 6-pack, but I hear there’s a plastic surgery you can do to work out the 6-packs when I am older. If there’s a plastic surgery for a man, let the brother know. I would like to sport it!” He’s not alone and we do have a surgical solution. Liposuction has come a long way. There’s a new technique called VASER, our as I call it, super-charged lipo. It first melts the fat cells, loosens them up so you can remove them evenly, and less discomfort and less bleeding and you see how that works? Remove the fat cells and the skin has a natural ability to shrink down. As far as a six-pack procedure we have that with the VASER instrument, we do etching, we turn it up, bring it more superficial to the skin and actually etch out a six-pack. Six-pack lines? Are you drawing them in? I have a picture to show you. This is not a pure six-pack but look where where he started. He started with a keg, and I got it down to a taper. He worked out some, but a lot of times a little kick-start with lipo will promote patients to start exercising properly.

www.cosmeticsurgeryhouston.com An expert in the treatment of gynecomastia, Houston plastic surgeon Michael Eisemann, MD, PA, FACS is dedicated to helping his patients feel more secure about their bodies. As a board certified member of the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), the American Board of Otolaryngology (ABOto), and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS), Dr. Eisemann knows the commitment it takes to help patients decide upon a potentially life changing plastic surgery procedure. Affecting numerous males across the country each year, Dr. Eisemann understands the impact that large breasts can have upon self esteem. Due to an accumulation of excessive breast tissue and/or fat present in the breast area, male breasts can appear to be female-like. Excessive glandular tissue can be present due to hormones, anabolic steroids, or weight gain. Although, in rare instances, excess breast tissue can be due to cancer. To avoid misdiagnoses, Dr. Eisemann recommends that every patient be thoroughly evaluated through a physical and lab tests to eliminate the possibility of breast cancer or other diseases. To remove the excess tissue and fat present in the breasts, Dr. Eisemann will use liposuction (“lipoplasty”) or a direct incision beneath the nipple and around the areola to remove glandular tissue, depending on the severity of gynecomastia. Also known as “male breast reduction,” Dr. Eisemann also uses Vaser ® liposuction methods to smooth
