Tummy Tuck Pain Patients
I had a tummy tuck last week and its still hurts alot I think i ripped a stitch!?
I had a hernia (from pregnancy) so the PS stitched my muscles back together.. I think one of the internal stitches broke apart.. The nurse told me (before it actually happened to me) that another patient had ripped a stitch after choking on her pain killers but the other stitches around it would be sufficient to hold it together… Also my belly button is very sore… What should I do? Please dont bother to answer if you dont actually know.

What makes you think that you ripped a stitch? Are you sure it isn’t just pain involved with the muscle repair? When in doubt, contact your PS’s office. There isn’t much they can do now but if you did, your PS should be able to tell you and you can always have it repaired later. Although, this would be more than likely a major surgery again. I had a Full Tummy Tuck, Muscle repair and Lipo 19 days ago and my belly button is also very sore still. It will take a while for all of it to feel better. At least for me it is. I still have pain and still on pain meds. Hang in there, I am sure it is fine. Plus, they didn’t just use one stitch so if you did rip one, there are many others holding the muscle in place.
